When to Extend, Release, or Let a Football Contract Run
Separate name from value
Past production does not guarantee the next contract will fit the roster’s future.
Check the replacement
A release saves little if the club must immediately spend more to fill the same job.
Use the timeline
A contender and a rebuilding club can make different correct decisions on the same veteran.
Use it in the franchise
Apply one decision at a time in CALL SHEET, then inspect the roster, cap, standings, statistics, morale, health, or coaching grade that changed. The simulator’s clubs and players are fictional.
